Back to the stars with big favorites!
Back to the Champions League. The curtain of the 2nd round of the top inter-conference competition opens on Tuesday evening, October 01, with big favourites for victory.
STUTTGART-SPARTA PRAGUE(19:45)
They did well in Madrid in their Champions League opener, but buckled at the end and were beaten 3-1 by Real Madrid.
The German team showed in their return to European competitions that they have a respectable and quality roster to make life difficult for all opponents, but also to pick up points, in matches like today's against Sparta Prague.
The Czechs travelled to Germany with optimism and belief in a two-in-two, after easily beating Salzburg 3-0 in the opening game.
BARCELONA - YANG BOYS (22:00)
Huge and natural favourites are Barcelona against Young Boys. The Blaugrana are doing exceptionally well in the league and are in first place, but they lost 2-1 in Monaco in their Champions League opener, playing for a long time with ten players.
Tonight against Young Boys they will be called upon to celebrate their first success and they are the undisputed favourites to achieve it.
The Swiss have not started the season well, they are behind in the standings, and on Matchday 1 in the Champions League, they were easily defeated by Aston Villa 0-3.
INTER-CRVENA ZVEZDA (22:00)
Inter and Red Star are looking for their first victory in the Champions League, with the home side favored to get it.
The Italian champions came out of their opening game with a goalless draw at home to Manchester City, while their Serbian counterparts were beaten 2-1 by Benfica in Belgrade.
Vladan Milojevic's side travelled to Italy for the surprise, but they are well aware that they will have to make a huge overhaul to achieve their goal.
SLOVAN BRATISLAVA-MANCHESTER CITY (22:00)
Manchester City are the biggest favourites for the second leg against Slovan Bratislava in Slovakia.
The English champions are not going to accept to start without a win in the first two games, after a white draw with Inter. The Manchester side will have no difficulty at all if they approach the game with the seriousness that this competition demands.
Slovan have a hot crowd, but that alone cannot break City. Too much will have to happen for them to gain a points advantage.
