Derby of giants in Barcelona, easy task for Manchester City!
A derby of giants will take place in Barcelona on Wednesday night, with Barcelona hosting Bayern Munich. A summit game will take place in France between Brest and Leverkusen, while the Leipzig-Liverpool game is also of great interest. Manchester City are huge favourites against the formidable Sparta Prague.
BREST-BAYER LEVERKUSEN (19:45)
Two of the unmistakable teams will clash in the 3rd round of the Champions League. The formidable Brest and Leverkusen will be looking to extend their winning streak and take a decisive step towards qualifying for the next stage.
The French gelled on their league resumption after coming out of the game with a 1-1 draw with Rennes at their home ground to host Leverkusen, who beat Eintracht 2-1 at home.
The German side went to France as favourites, with a performance that does not reflect the standings, and it remains to be seen if they can confirm their title.
BARCELONA-BAYERN MUNICH (22:00)
A match of giants will take place in Barcelona. The pride of the city, Barcelona will host Bayern Munich, with the odds almost evenly split, as expected in such a game.
The home side are leading the league, having beaten Sevilla at home last Sunday and maintaining a +3 lead over Real Madrid, who they will face away from home next week.
Bayern, on the other hand, thrashed Stuttgart 4-0 at home, with Harry Kane scoring a hat-trick and sending his team into tonight's game with a fierce attitude.
Both teams have a win and a loss between them and will therefore be looking to celebrate their second success.
LEIPZIG-LIVERPOOL (22:00)
Another very interesting game will be played on Wednesday night. Leipzig will host Liverpool, with both teams charting diametrically opposite paths in the Champions League.
The Germans have lost both of their games and the Englishmen are on a perfect record. The motivation for both teams is high and they are expected to give their all to fulfill their goal.
Both are back with wins in their respective leagues. Leipzig beat Mainz 2-0 away from home and Liverpool took the derby of the week, beating Chelsea 2-1.
MANCHESTER CITY - SPARTA PRAGUE (22:00)
Manchester City are the favourites for the match against Sparta Prague. The Citizens faltered until they broke down the resistance of Wolves, needing a last-minute goal to turn the tables and stay within striking distance of Liverpool.
Against Sparta Prague, they are the logical favourites and will be very surprising if the English side fail to win.
The two gladiators have four points each, with the Czechs surprising the fans with their performance and results so far. However, they will have a tough time getting through in Manchester. They know it, but will hope to contain Pep Guardiola's armada as much as possible.
