Difficult exits for Manchester G., Juventus and Real Madrid, easier for Bayern and APOEL

The Saturday programme includes games for all tastes. Difficult outings for Manchester G., Juventus and Real Madrid, easier for Bayern Munich and APOEL.

SOUTHAMPTON-MANCHESTER UNITED (14:30)
Southampton-Manchester United opens the curtain on the 4th round of the Premier League with the match between Southampton and Manchester United. Both teams have not started the league well and/or as they wished and see today's game as an opportunity to restart.
The Red Devils, after winning the opening game, have suffered two defeats and added another disappointment to the millions of fans who are waiting for the year when their favourite team can look the title contenders in the eye. The 0-3 defeat to Liverpool doesn't allow for that, at least not this year.
Southampton clearly do not have such high demands and expectations, but they are also setting targets, as all teams in the world's top league do. Three defeats in as many games has given the team's people pause for thought and created concern for the future.

KARMIOTISSA-APOEL (19:00)
APOEL will travel to Famagusta with the sole aim of getting their first win in the league to face Carmiotissa.
The league break allowed Jose Dominguez to work on the team's weaknesses, but also allowed the players to take important breathers due to the pressured schedule in the European qualifiers.
The Blue and Yellow are the favourites, but to fulfil their goal they will have to present a diametrically opposed performance to their recent performances.
On the other hand, Carmiotissa are coming off a 1-0 win over ENP and go into the match against the champions with the right psychology.

ΕΜΠΟLI-JUVENTUS (19:00)
A difficult outing for Juventus, who will face Empoli.
The visitors lost their first points of the season against Roma, with the break offering a chance to regroup and return to success.
Juventus have maintained a three-game unbeaten run and look set to rely heavily on defence to fulfil their goals.
Empoli have started the league quite positively and remain unbeaten in three games. Victory at the expense of Roma and draws with Monza and Bologna.
These results keep the team's psychology at a satisfactory level and to the extent that they can hope for a positive result against their big rival as well.

HOLSTEIN KIEL - BAYERN MUNICH (19:30)
Bayern Munich are big and quite natural favourites to come away from Holstein with a win in the 3rd round in Germany.
The Bavarians, who are aiming to return to the top and end last year's disappointing season, have started the league perfectly with two wins in as many games and a 5-2 goal difference.
On the other hand, the home side are on the opposite course, having recorded two defeats with a 2-5 goal difference.

REAL SOCIEDAD - REAL MADRID (22:00)
Real Madrid have a dangerous assignment this week at home to Sociedad.
The huge signing of Killian Empape and the excitement it has generated in the club's ranks has been overshadowed by the team's sluggish start.
Despite winning the European Super Cup in the league, Real have not had a good start and are already -4 from their big rivals, Barcelona.
Two wins and equal draws for the "Queen" who is aiming for a double in an extremely difficult home game to get back on track.
Sociedad have started even worse, having won, drawn and lost two games in four. The goal-scoring difficulty is clearly evident from the three goals scored, but the quality is enough and capable of writing off those numbers.
The motivation against Real Madrid is huge and the hosts are expected to give everything for the win.
