The nights continue with the qualifiers in the Champions League and the Confederations League. APOEL secured a qualification spot after a 1-0 win over Petrocub at the GSP in the second qualifying round of the Champions League. The "Blue-Yellows" were the better side, especially in the first half, and could have scored another goal. But in the second half, they moved into mediocrity, thanks to fatigue, a development that gave the opponent the impetus to create and threaten APOEL. For sure, David Gayego's side is better, but tonight's second leg against a much more prepared team needs special attention.
SLOVAN BRATISLAVA- NK CELJE (21:30)
APOEL will face the winner of the match between Celje of Slovenia and Slovan of Slovakia in the third qualifying round of the Champions League, if they get past Petrocup. In the first match the two teams came out tied 1-1 and everything is open for qualification.
