Great games in Milan and Paris, Barcelona with momentum in Belgrade

The second instalment of Champions League round 4 will be played on Wednesday night, with nine games. The game in Milan, where Inter will host Arsenal, is of the greatest interest, while a great showdown is also expected in Paris, between Paris Saint-Germain and Atletico Madrid. The favourites of the day are Barcelona, who will face Red Star in Belgrade.

PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN - ATHLETICO MADRID (22:00)

They have had a disappointing start to their Champions League campaign and see today's game as a great opportunity for a much-needed restart.

Paris Saint-Germain and Atletico Madrid are aiming for a win that will kick-start their fightback.

The French have four points and the Spaniards have three. The hosts beat Girona 2-0 and Atletico beat Leipzig 2-1. Both games were part of the opening round of the competition.

Therefore, both teams are counting two negative results in a row and should they extend the failures, then they will put additional obstacles in their way.

In official international friendlies is the history of the two teams.

INTER-ARSENAL (22:00)

The most interesting game of the day will be played in Milan. Inter will host Arsenal, with both teams coming off difficult but very important Champions League victories. Both won by the same score, 1-0, against Young Boys and Shakhtar Donetsk respectively.

Inter and Arsenal are undefeated and have seven points each, with two wins and a draw in the opening round of the competition.

The similarities between the two teams continue. Both the Italian and English sides have not conceded a goal in the three rounds, with Inter having five goals to their credit and Arsenal three.

In 2003 they met in the Champions League group stages, with Inter winning 3-0 in London and Arsenal responding in kind with a double in Milan with a deafening 5-1 victory.

FK CRVENA-BARCELONA (22:00)

Two huge victories that amount to confirmation of the quality Barcelona have possessed this season. The commanding four wins against Bayern Munich and Real Madrid leave no room for doubt.

The Blaugrana are in the Serbian capital for the game against Red Star and are the favourites for the weekend. The huge momentum they have gained is considered extremely difficult not to cash in with a double at the Maracana.

Vladan Milojevic's side have already made their breakthrough by qualifying for the main stage of the competition and are looking for a good result. Of course, it's utopian to have a reasonable hope against today's Barcelona, however, they will fight it without stress and whatever comes out.

Tonight will be the first meeting between the two clubs in an official match.
