Italy are the favourites and it's all to play for in the other two games of the evening...

Day two of EURO 2024 today and the menu includes three matches. Round 1 in Group 1 concludes with the match between Hungary and Switzerland which is scheduled for 16:00. We also have a premiere in Group 2 where Spain, Italy, Croatia and Albania (the top three were together in the 2012 group, with the top two reaching the final) will meet, vying for the top two places or one of the tickets that will be awarded to the top four third-placed teams in the competition. Kicking off with a Group 2 derby between Spain and Croatia. Next up, Italy are the heavy favourites against Albania.

Below you can see all the match action in detail:

HUNGARY-SWITZERLAND (16:00)

Hungary (16:16). Two very good and quality teams are facing each other. Starting with the typical hosts Hungary, they have made incredible strides forward, led of course by Liverpool's Dominik Szoboslai! They are making their third consecutive appearance in a European Championship final and their goal is of course to qualify for the next stage. Tonight's match against Switzerland is decisive, as they are also present for the third time in a final for the third time in a row. It has experienced players in its ranks and relies mainly on teamwork.

SPAIN-CROATIA (19:00)

The opening match of Group 2, which is the most difficult, as it includes three teams ranked in the FIFA Top 10. The beginning is half of everything and that's why tonight's game is very important for both teams. Spain is participating in the 12th European Championship in its history and together with Germany are the countries that have won it the most times, three times in total. It goes without saying that they are aiming to win it again this year. Croatia, on the other hand, is attending its seventh European Championship and sixth in a row, having a huge amount of experience now from European competitions.

ITALY-ALBANIA (22:00)

The Italians will try to become the second team to win consecutive European Championship tournaments after Spain (2008 and 2012) and will rely on their tough defence for another tournament. Albania are the weakest team in the group and it will be a big surprise if they don't end up in 4th place. This is their 2nd participation in a major competition since EURO 2016.
