Paphos' qualification and the Rangers-PAO battle and more...

Our champions are thrown into the battle of Europe tonight, welcoming Maccabi Tel Aviv in the 2nd Qualifying Round of the Champions League.
Tonight there is also Greek interest, since Panathinaikos also begins its European journey against Rangers away from home.
It should be noted that the winner of the pairs in this phase, in addition to qualifying for the third qualifying round of the Champions League, automatically secures a place in the League Phase of the Europa League, thus ensuring its European presence for the rest of the season.
We will see these and many more in more detail below.
Below you will see in detail all the competitive action:
PAPHOS FC-MACCABI TEL AVIV (20:00)
The European journey of our champions begins and they want it to be very distant, as it happened last year. Carcedo's team was drawn to face the champions Israel in the second qualifying round of the Champions League and we are certainly talking about a difficult obstacle. The events that took place in their country may have affected them to some extent, but that doesn't mean that they won't give everything for the qualification. Paphos' goal is to get a positive result that will give them a qualification lead ahead of the second leg that will take place on 30/07 in Serbia.
The champion of North Macedonia, Skendiya, qualified for the second qualifying round of the Champions League. The team from Tetovo secured its qualification to the second round thanks to a goal scored in the 116th minute of extra time against TNS and in this phase they will face Ilias Charalambous' Steaua who escaped the shock against Inter d'Escaldes: Despite their 2-1 victory over Steaua in Andorra, was unable to overturn the 3-1 defeat in the first game in Romania. The team from the small principality came close to a historic qualification in the 2nd qualifying round, but the overall 4-3 in favor of Steaua decided the case in favor of the Romanians.
Another interesting matchup takes place tonight as part of the second qualifying round of the Champions League. In theory, Plzen seems to be a superior and more experienced team in such processes, but Servet has also made significant progress in recent years and does not bear any underestimation.
From the beginning, Panathinaikos was very difficult and deep. The draw reserved the most difficult -theoretically- possible draw for another year with the "greens" facing the historic Rangers. The first match will be played tonight away from home, at the "Ibbrox" and the rematch a week later, on July 30 in Athens. The Greek team is called upon to wear its good suit in Europe and fight the two matches. PAO is not a loser, but it has to change its image based on what we saw in the pre-season friendlies that preceded it.
