Sunday with super derbies PAO-ARIS, Arsenal-Liverpool, Inter-Juventus, AEL-AEK...

On a football day like this you don't even need an introduction and you get straight to the point. We've got it:
Arsenal-Liverpool and Chelsea-Newcastle in the Premier League.
In the Campionato, Inter-Juventus.
In the Super League, Panathinaikos-Aris.
Within the borders we have two interesting matches. Apollon travels to Larnaca to face Omonia Ar. and in the second game of the day, AEL hosts AEK Athens.

Below you can see all the match action in detail:

CHELSEA-NEWCASTLE (16:00)
Both teams have poured a lot of money into reinforcements this season, but again, it's unlikely that they will at least challenge for the league. Their realistic goal is to finish in the top four. But to be honest, they are looking better than last year, especially Chelsea who are showing more seriousness and consistency. The hosts are coming off a 2-1 away defeat in the derby against Liverpool: With Mo Salah scoring and assisting and Curtis Jones scoring and winning a penalty, Liverpool beat the Blues to stay on top. On the other hand, Newcastle were beaten at home by Brighton with a goal from Welbeck, recording their second consecutive league win and forcing Newcastle to their first home win since January!

OMONIA AR.-APOLLO (17:00)
The newcomers are coming off a heavy defeat, as they lost 0-5 at home to APOEL last week. They will try to return to good performances and positive results against Apollon, who are the big favorites in the game. The visitors got back to winning ways with a 2-0 win over Omonia 29M, but they didn't dwell on their performance.

PANATHINAIKOS-ARIS (18:00)
It's kind of weird... but true. To reach the 9th round of the Super League and talk about a super derby between 6th placed PAO against leaders Aris. The two teams are five points apart and from here one can easily understand that this year's league in Greece will be exciting as well. The home side got back to winning ways in the league, beating 0-1 away to OFI and in midweek they hosted Chelsea in the League Phase of the Confederations League. We stress this because Aris will be rested and with their spirits high after their 4th consecutive league win, this time against Kallithea with a 2-0 win.

ARSENAL-LIVERPOOL (18:30)
Expect a real match between two excellent teams that offer spectacle and excitement. The hosts are coming off their first defeat in the league this season, as last week Bournemouth gained a numerical advantage from the 30th minute due to Saliba's sending off and grabbed the opportunity by the hair, with the Cherries prevailing 2-0 at home to Arsenal. The visitors go from derby to derby as, as we wrote above, they beat Chelsea 2-1 and go on to top the Premier League.

AEL-AEK (19:00)
AEL celebrated their second win in a row as they escaped from Larnaca with a double, beating Nea Salamina 0-2. Coleman's players showed character and scored two late goals to get what they needed and jump up the table. Against AEK they will play without fans and that might play its part. Also, AEK is in excellent competitive and psychological condition after two consecutive derby wins against APOEL and Anorthosis. Henning Berg has already put his stamp on the team that shows that they are capable of challenging for the title this season.

INTER-JUVENTUS (19:00)
We expected from the very beginning that Inter will challenge for the championship again this season. They are the champion team that has built a very strong squad since last year. But this year things won't be as easy, as last year they basically took the league from January. Tonight's opponents, Juventus, are back with a vengeance and present themselves as title contenders. So are Napoli, and even Milan. Expect a great Campionato this year and everything will be decided down to the last matchday. The home side are coming off a great double against Roma (0-1) and Juventus also beat the struggling Lazio at home by the same score. In terms of points, Inter are in 2nd place with 17 points, followed by Juve with 16.
