Who will win the first title of the year in Cyprus - Kick-off and the cup

Two Cypriot games are on today's schedule. In Nicosia, APOEL and Paphos will compete for the first title of the season, while Othello and Apollon will open the cup.

APOEL-PAPHOS (20:30)
The first title of the year will be contested tonight at the GSP by champions APOEL and cup winners Paphos. The two teams will clash for the Super Cup, which was due to be played last month, but due to their European commitments it has been moved to Wednesday, September 25.
The game will be played at the appropriate time. At a time when both APOEL and Paphos are in excellent form. The latter in particular has four out of four and sits at the top of the table, three points more than the Blues and Yellows, who are three out of three after the break.
Of course, we should not overlook the fact that the Super Cup will take place in between the league games, where both are aiming. Paphos will host Aris and APOEL will be tested in Peristeri against Omonia 29M.
With that in mind, both coaches are expected to make some changes to the eleven in order to keep their teams fresh.
However, no matter how many changes they make, they have a plethora of quality options that will keep the level of play high.

ATHENS-APOLLON (18:00)
Apart from the Super Cup, there will be another game in Cyprus on Wednesday. Othello Athenou-Apollon, which will open the curtain of the first phase of the Coca Cola Cup.
There is a big favorite in this particular match and that is Apollon. The cyan-whites are much better than last season and therefore the demands and expectations are high.
Against Othello, the Limassol team will be called upon to confirm their title and with seriousness and concentration they will have no particular problems.
The hosts will go into the game without stress and pressure and will be looking for a surprise against their big rival.
Apollon's coach, Mr. Gula, will make changes to the eleven.
