Will Anorthosis return to victories or will AEL extend their unbeaten run? Pittas with the momentum for a new goal
Derby in Larnaca, a controversial game in England and a game of Cypriot interest in Sweden are included in Monday's schedule.
The last derby of the 9th round of the Cypriot League will be played tonight at the Antonis Papadopoulos Stadium, with Anorthosis hosting AEL.
The Famagusta side have suffered two defeats in their last two games, both away to AEK and APOEL by 1-0 and 2-0 respectively.
Yiannou Oka's players had a pretty good showing at the GSP, but the numerical disadvantage, due to Conceisao's suspension, cost them dearly. After two negative results, Anorthosis return to the Antonis Papadopoulos Stadium to continue their success there.
The Limassol team went to Larnaca with demands and to take advantage of their momentum. AEL are unbeaten in their last four games, with three wins against Ethnikos Achna, Nea Salamina and Achirona Onisilou in the cup. In the last league match, they drew 1-1 with AEK Athens.
It is worth mentioning that AEL scored in all their games, while their top scorer, Andreas Makris, remains without a goal against his former team.
The title train was long lost for AIK, but the Stockholm team is still in the privileged positions for Europe. In particular, they are in 3rd place and have a good chance to secure the coveted ticket.
Today they will face Norkoping on the road and they are the favourites for the double. The team of Ioannis Pitta and Oni Valakari, wants to continue their winning run and take a decisive step towards an exit to Europe.
The hosts are almost irrelevant in terms of points, however, they will not raise a white flag. They beat Varnamo away last weekend and in their last home game they will give everything to get the win.
In the last game between the two teams, AIK won 6-2, with John Pitta scoring twice.
The last game of the 10th round in the Premier League is open for all results.
Fulham will host Brentford, with both teams having a similar record. The visitors, who beat Ipswich 4-3 in their last league game, are in 9th place with 13 points, one more than their opponents, who last week drew 1-1 at home to Everton.
Last season Brentford won 3-0 away from home, while the two sides were stuck at 0-0 in the second round game.
